New dock applications revealed

Public comments accepted until July 28th

ministry-formTwo more Cape Roger Curtis owners have applied for docks. Both docks are indicated as ‘for summer use only’, so the floats would likely be removed during the other three seasons, while the wharves would be in place in perpetuity. Six waterfront property owners are currently building or seeking to build docks so far. There are 18 waterfront properties at the Cape. The Ministry reviewing the applications will only accept public comments on the two new docks until July 28. You can submit your opinion to the Ministry directly through this website.

Here are images of the application designs.

Lot 14 Dock Application

This dock will appear a few meters north of the lighthouse point. This design indicates it will be 340 feet in length, not including the breakwaters that appear in the application, which would expand the area the dock dominates considerably. Note that the license area surrounds the lighthouse.
